2006/7/14 This isn't about Friday!! It's Thursday! I swear! Heh heh.Believe it or not, I actually have stuff to write about today! Heh heh. I won't say that today was the most exciting of days, but it wasn't boring, either. Mom and I had to take Grannie over to the doctor's at 3 this afternoon because she's been having trouble with her throat. While we were driving over I saw a Citation peek in and out of the clouds after it took off from Pittsfield and saw a Hawker (or close) flying over a cornfield, that probably took off from Pittsfield too. I love it when the ceiling is low with a peek of sunshine and blue sky here and there and a light mist coming down from the Heavens above. Heh heh. After the Doc's, we went out to lunchish (even though Mom and I didn't eat anything...) and I had a coffee frappuchino (I'm drinking my second one as we speak... *twitch*). Ermm.... we went down to Grannie's after that and the neighbor showed Mom and I her overgrowing jungle of a garden. Full of lillies, hollyhocks, and everything else inbetween.... the scent is irresistable. Heh heh. After 30 minutes of being eaten alive by flying insects from Hell, we went home. But this is where it gets interesting. As we were driving across the bridge with home in sight, Mom pointed up through the windshield and said (I think I know who might be flying today...). Above (about 200 ft. to be exact) was my favorite little airplane in the whole wide world, the Europa... flying in circles (I'm guessing) over the house. I immediately rolled the window down and started waving like a lunatic. As soon as we walked in the door I ran here to my computer and opened up Hotmail... here's the little message I wrote. YOU!!!!! Flew over awhile ago. Mom and I were driving over the bridge on 295 and saw this mysterious aircraft rather low and turning West... who could it possibly be? There's only one that I know of that has a wheel sticking halfway out in the bottom of the fuselage - the darling Europa... heh heh. I don't know if you saw, but if you noticed a black BMW with an arm sticking out and waving, that was me. Loser!! Heh heh. By the by, your silly flying antics sparked my memory. I don't know if you remember, but earlier in the year I told you about the friend of ours who's father/uncle own that airstrip up north (or somewhere around there). Now I don't know if Jimmy would have the slightest bit of interest in this, but I sure do. It turns out that he has a 1938 Waco up there in spotless condition. The only catch is... no one up there knows what it's worth. Chah-Ching! Hell, maybe the guy just wants to get rid of it. Do you think we might be able to fly up there and take a peek at it? Pleeeeeeease? Heh heh. Mum and I can find where it is and talk to him beforehand... -Sarah A 1938 Waco... can you imagine? Well, if you aren't the flying-type, then you probably can't. Just incase, here's a photo of one down below... ![]() The one above is a '39 Waco (which, come to think of it, might be the year of the one I mentioned in the email... not sure, it's either '38 or '39). What a spotless piece of glory. If I had a choice, I'd paint mine dark red and silver... *shiver*. Heh heh. A dark red fuselage and silver wings... or dark red fuselage with a silver line extending from the middle of the nose down the fuselage and winding it's way up the tail and over the rudder where it branches out like feathers on both sides. Crap. I fully intended this to be posted Thursday... Procrastinator plus! Turns out I was making a paper model of the paint scheme... Speaking of which, I have to get up early because I'm going for a haircut. Thank God. Heh heh. Later. 评论 (1)
